Dr Bijith George Abraham is Senior Assistant Professor at XIME Cochin. Prior to joining XIME, he served as Associate Professor and in charge of Research & IQAC at the Marian Institute of Management (MIM), Marian College Kuttikkanam Autonomous, Kerala and Associate Professor and in Charge of Research & International Affairs at SCMS Cochin School of Business, Kerala. Altogether he has 15 years of research and teaching experience. Dr Bijith was awarded 1st Rank for Master of Business Economics (MBE) from CUSAT in the year 2008 & earned PhD in Economics from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kerala in 2016. He has undertaken various positions as Chair of Doctoral Studies, Research Expert, in charge of Research, International Affairs, and Internal Quality Assurance.
He has collaborated with International & National Universities, Government agencies for research and consultancy. He was instrumental in working on 24 National, International and Governmental collaborative funded research projects. He has 30 peer-reviewed research publications (articles, working papers, & book chapters) at the national/international levels, and served as an editorial reviewer for reputed publishers. He was awarded Responsive Research Project from the ICSSR, New Delhi, & Short-Term Training Programme (STTP) from AICTE, New Delhi. He has completed collaborative research with the University of Alberta, Canada and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain.
Served as Chair of the Doctoral Committee for Research for the Lincoln University College -Marian Research Centre (LUC-MRC) and recognised as a Research Guide, PhD Supervision Expert in Social Sciences & Management. Invited as a Resources person for various Workshops/ International Conferences. Innovation Ambassador by the MHRD Innovation Cell and also K-DISC Evaluator for the "Business Model Innovation" for YIP.
