Ms. Jaissy N J
Visiting Faculty
Jaissy NJ is a visiting faculty with over two decades of corporate experience in the areas of Business Finance, Strategy & Planning and Operations. She has been in leadership roles with HP, Nokia and Cisco and has played an instrumental role in the setup of various internal ventures within these firms.
Jaissy started her career as a design engineer with Tata Consulting Engineers where she was involved with the electrical engineering design of some of India’s largest thermal and nuclear power plants. Post MBA, she worked with Motorola’s paging division as the paging business took off in India.
Jaissy then joined HP as part of the HP India team, PC and Server Division and after the HP Compaq merger shifted to HP’s internal offshoring division, catching the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) trend as it was beginning. She was a part of the group that set up HP’s internal offshoring divisions within India and across the globe.
Jaissy moved to Nokia as CFO for Nokia (South India) as part of the leadership team when Nokia was at its peak. Her last corporate assignment was with Cisco, as the Global Investment controller for their newly set up Smart Communities division whose mandate was to develop cutting edge technology solutions for Cities and Buildings using Cisco’s hardware.
Jaissy shifted to academia in 2015 and has been teaching at B-schools in Bangalore and Kerala. Her subjects include core and elective courses in Finance, Operations and in the Quantitative / Analytics domain. Jaissy holds an engineering degree (BTech) from NIT Calicut and an MBA (PGDM) from IIM Calcutta.
