    About XIME Kochi

    Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Kochi, one of the top-ranking B-Schools in India was founded by a group of distinguished academicians and professionals led by Prof.J.Philip, former Director of IIM Bangalore and former Dean of XLRI, Jamshedpur. XIME has three campuses – the first one set up in Bangalore, followed by the Kochi campus and the latest addition – Chennai campus. All campuses follow a common curriculum, centralised admissions and centralised placements and follow the - One institution- three campuses rule, with a common set of guidelines and practices followed in each campus. The Kochi campus started its journey of excellence in the year 2013, offering PGDM programme with specialisation in Finance, Marketing, HR, Analytics and Operations. Located in the heart of the Hi-Tech Park in Kalamassery, near to the much celebrated Start-up Village, XIME Kochi’s campus is the best suited for regular industry interactions. With emphasis on quality education and “best-in-class” placement, XIME builds insightful leaders of tomorrow.

    Program Educational Objectives

    The PGDM postgraduates of XIME-Kochi are expected to achieve or attain the following Program Educational Objectives within five years of completion of the program.

    • PEO 1. Demonstrate the skill and the updated knowledge in the practice of the management profession.
    • PEO 2. Possess and promote Entrepreneurism, Innovation and continuous learning.
    • PEO 3. Formulate and implement the best corporate governance practices and take decisions as a true global leader, upholding high societal values and professional ethics.
    • PEO 4. Set and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals.

    XIME's Milestone

    2024

    MoU signed with a German Multinational Company – Knorr Bremse Technology Centre (I) Pvt. Ltd. Knorr-Bremse Group, based in Munich, is the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems and a leading supplier of safety-critical sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles.

    XIME Kochi is empanelled as Consultant by Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

    MoU signed with Brest Business School, France for academic collaboration and student exchange.

    2023

    MoUs were signed with Adelaide Business School, Australia and De La Salle University, Philippines

    2022

    XIME Kochi initiated talks for partnership with the Adelaide Business School, Australia and De La Salle University, Philippines

    2021

    XIME Kochi signed four MoUs with Tata Consultancy, Maker Village, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) and St. Pauls College Kalamassery aimed for the collaboration of knowledge transfer, academic research and skill development.

    2020

    Xavier Leadership Centre was establised at the XIME Kochi campus to provide integrated and holistic training in leaderhip skills.

    2019

    XIME Kochi signed an agreement with Kerala Start-up Mission (KSUM) to facilitate live projects.

    2018

    XIME wins again the prestigious National Campionship Award of AIMA - Ms.Jassica Mathias and Ms.Kamala Sundaresan.

    2017

    Commenced first batch of XIME Chennai with an intake of 59 sudents.

    XIME is ranked the 50th Best B-School in the country by NIRF study, MHRD.

    2016

    As a part of XIME's Silver Jubilee Celebrations, the Incubation centre at XIME was inaugurated on 21st March, 2016 by Prof. Larry Cox, Associate Professor and Lead Faculty, Entrepreneurship Programs, Graziadio School of Business and Management, Pepperdine University, USA. The Incubation Centre started with 3 incubatees: Tellofy, Trilya and Varsito.

    2015

    Foundation stone laid for XIME's new campus in Chennai.

    XIME's Silver Jubilee Year Celebrations begin.

    2014

    Twenty years of XIME first PGDM batch celebrated.

    XIME receives the Global Business Accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Program (ACBSP), USA.

    2013

    XIME Kochi campus was inaugurated. First batch started with the intake of 52 students.

    Land acquired for XIME Chennai.

    2012

    XIME was given the prestigious Madras Management Association Award for Managerial Excellence in Education Sector.

    2011

    International Educational Tour was made an integral part of the PGDM programme. XIME saw Batch 16 students visit Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

    Prof. J Philip was awarded AIMA-Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education.

    MOU signed with Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade, Shanghai, China (now known as Shanghai University of International Business and Economics) and with the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou, China.
     

    2010

    Prof. J Philip completed 50 years of his professional career on 3rd July, 2010.

    AICTE approved the increase in PGDM student intake from 120 to 180.

    2009

    Historic formation of the association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS). Prof. J Philip was unanimously elected President of this newly founded inter-continental B-Schools association.

    2008

    XIME started its first batch of full-time Executive PGDM.

    XIME received A++ rating from Business India for the third year in a row.

    Competition success review rated XIME as the Best Private Sector B-School in South India.

    Prof. J Philip, President, XIME received XLRI's Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in the Profession and Social Contribution, at XLRI, Jamshedpur.

    2007

    MOUs signed with universities of international repute for student and faculty exchange programme. XIME started sending some of its students for 2-month full-time summer projects abroad.

    2006

    XIME unveiled the Management Development Block - in the vicinity of its main campus spread across 2 acres - with classrooms that have seating capacities up to 150 students. The entire XIME campus became Wi-Fi enabled.

    2005

    XIME became a fully residential B-School with a campus spread over 4.3 acres.

    2004

    PGDM programme of XIME received the coveted and prestigious '5 Year Accreditation' and became the first B-School in Bangalore to receive the recognition from AICTE.

    2002

    XIME moved into its new spacious, high tech and permanent campus in Electronics City for which the land was given by KIADB. AICTE approved the increase in XIME PGDM Students' intake to 120.

    1998

    XIME established XIME Alumni Association, Bangalore (XAAB).

    1997

    The first batch of PGDBA students graduated from XIME.

    1995

    AICTE approved the two year full-time PGDBA programme with the intake of 60 sutdents.

    (PGDBA was the nomenclature at the time, which was changed to PGDM)

    1991

    A group of distinguished academicians and philanthropists under the able and dynamic leadership of Prof. Philip established XIME in pursuit of excellance in high quality Management and Entrepreneurship Education in India.
